Province’s First Senior Citizens’ Home Inaugurated

Nirmala Nikethan Senior Citizens’ Home was one of the dreams of the Province of Kolkata. The fulfillment of an envisioned dream and the hard work of many found its reality on 24April, 2017. Nirmala Nikethan Senior Citizens’ home was blessed by Rt. Rev Dr. Sebastian Thekethecheril bishop of Vijayapuram and inaugurated by Sr. Philomena Mathew, Superior General, convoyed by Sr. Molly James the Provincial Superior of Kolkata and Mother Elizabeth Packumala. Sr. Molly James welcomed the gathering after which the official inaugural ceremony of cutting the ribbon, unveiling the Plaque and lighting the lamp by the Chief Guest and the eminent dignitaries.

Our MLA Sri. Eldose Kunnapally and former MLA Sri. Saju Paul were present for the celebration. There were many invited guests for the inauguration including MSMHC Sisters. It was a blessing to have the presence of the Provincial of Bangalore Sr. Regi Chacko, the former Provincial of Shillong Sr. Katherine Joseph, and around five hundred people of the locality alongside the local Congregation Sisters’. It was indeed a graceful moment where all of them appreciated the new enterprise and lended their prayerful support. During the thanksgiving ceremony Mr. Babu Enchackal the contractor was conferred a token of love for his commendable job. The all permeating presence of the Almighty was there throughout the
programme and was experienced by all.
